Falls Creek Alpine Resort is on the hunt for an experienced Treatment Plant Operator who will be responsible for maintaining and operating the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Water Supply all year round. An additional opportunity exists to be a part of the bigger long-term picture for Falls Creek, by bringing your experience and knowledge to assist with projects that will contribute to the safety and environmental management.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Maintain and operate the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Water Supply through best practice processes.
- Liaise regularly with the Assets and Operations Manager for reporting and issue management.
- Maintain safe work practices aligned with OHS requirements and contribute to the development of Risk Management Plans and operational controls.
- Contribute to ongoing maintenance across the Assets and Operations areas.
The Treatment Plant Operator reports to the Assets & Operations Manager and works closely with other members of the Resort Assets & Operations team to ensure the resort is maintained in shipshape condition.

- Qualifications and/or experience in plumbing or mechanical fitting and installation.
- Certificate III in Wastewater Industry Operations and Potable Water Industry Operations or equivalent.
- Current Victorian driver licence (Manual)
- Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee)
- Desirable certificates/licences - Heavy Rigid Driver's License, Front End Loader ticket, plumbing licence and current First Aid Certificate
- Physically capable of taking on demanding tasks in potentially harsh conditions.
- A motivated individual who is innovative, work independently and within a team.
- A LOVE of the outdoors, including the rain, hail, shine and of course…Snow!
- Flexibility with hours and availability to be on-call for emergencies. Condensed work hours 4 days on 3 days off.
