Tecon Australia Pty Ltd is an experienced and expanding building surveying firm that provides private certification and regulatory consultancy services to the South Australian, Northern Territory and Western Australian construction industry and the community in general.
We currently have a full time position in our South Australian / Northern Territory team for a Building Surveyor. The role is responsible for Building Surveying duties in our Adelaide office providing support to our Northern Territory operation. We are happy to consider a Building Surveyor at any stage of their career who is looking for a new opportunity.

Duties:
- Undertake all forms of BCA assessment within your level of expertise;
- Deliver a broad range of consultancy services to our client based firm;
- Be part of a local team with the opportunity to explore National projects;
- Further develop your technical skills;
- Liaise with Councils and Authorities as required;
- Manage project files;
Skills & Experience:
- Accredited (or able to obtain) assistant Building Surveyor or Building Surveyor Level 2 with the AIBS;
- Possess thorough knowledge and understanding of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Act/Regulations;
- Demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude and provide a solution path for clients;
- A commitment to ongoing professional development;
- Ability to effectively negotiate and resolve disputes;
- Strong ability to write and present cohesive, coherent and technically sound reports;
- Strong organisational and time management skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills;
- Experience in either Local Government or Private Practice;
Experience in Microsoft Office and electronic databases are essential.
