This is a site-based position, working at our Ernest Henry operation. The Ernest Henry copper-gold operation is a large-scale, long-life asset. The operation employs sub-level caving or extraction method. It is located 38km north-east of Cloncurry, Queensland on the traditional lands of the Mitakoodi people.
About the role
Reporting to the Superintendent - Underground Electrical Fixed Plant, you will be responsible for optimising the availability of the underground Fixed Plant through the correct planning and scheduling of all maintenance works. Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Managing maintenance spend in line with the annual budgets set by the Superintendent
- Ensuring schedules are accurately monitored to ensure equipment availability and reliabilities are achieved
- Confirming, collating and delivering the weekly schedule work orders generated by Pronto, to the respective area supervisor
- Being proactive in identifying and reporting potential hazards and eliminating risk taking behaviours or actions
- Actively promoting continuous improvements to safety, operational efficiency and expenditure
- Committing to maintaining health, safety and security standards and principles
About you
We are looking for people who have the following attributes, skills and experience:
- Electrical trade certificate (essential)
- Tertiary qualification in maintenance management (preferred)
- Previous experience in asset management
- Competent user of CMS softwares, MS Project, MS Word and Excel
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills at all levels
