Ulan West is an established, efficient, and high production underground longwall coal mining operation in the western coalfields of NSW. With state-of-the-art mining equipment, the latest technologies, and best in class safety practices, we are leading exporters in thermal coal. You will be part of a dynamic high performing team using the most advanced technology available to achieve the highest possible operating standards efficiently and safely.
We are located a short drive from the picturesque town of Mudgee, an area renowned for its world class wineries and tourist activities. As an Underground Electrician, you will:
- Work as part of a dedicated crew to operate and maintain machinery and equipment to accomplish safe production and maintenance activities.
- Install electrical distribution and network systems
- Maintain compliance and complete inspections in accordance with Engineering Management plans.
- Conduct effective maintenance practices and carry out fault finding and diagnostics on complex systems including:
- continuous miners
- automated longwall systems
- surface and underground conveyors
- communications and networking systems
- continuous miners
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Have an electrical trade qualification.
- Have experience working in heavy industry or defence on a range of complex electrical plant.
- Be an exceptional team member with a can-do attitude.
- Hold an absolute commitment to safety and safe working practices.
- Experience working in an underground longwall coal mining operation is desirable, although not essential.
