The Neurological Council of WA is a well-regarded not-for-profit based at The Niche Lotteries House, QEIIMC, Nedlands with regional offices in the South-West, Mid-West and Great Southern. We seek an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team covering the Mandarah and the Peel Region.
Neurocare Community Neurological Nurses (CNNs) deliver TeleNurse, community neuro-nursing and outreach, and health and disability navigation services for people of all ages living with neurological conditions or symptoms. We are committed to optimising health and wellbeing outcomes for clients, carers & families. Our CNNs predominately work with adults but also provide regional support for our Perth-based NeuroKids paediatric community neurological nurses servicing regional children and families.
Our CNNs undertake neuro-nursing consultations via telehealth, home and hospital visits and work in partnership with hospital, health and allied care professionals. We offer specialist on-the-job training for brain and nervous system disorders from an experienced and supportive team in a unique community health setting, genuine healthy work-life balance, and satisfying and rewarding work.
Service are funded by WA Department of Health, Telethon7 and NDIS. The position is offered on a fixed term contract basis.

To be considered for the role, you will need:
- Current AHPRA registration with clinical competency in nursing practice;
- Skills in providing information, education, assessment, support and advocacy for patients, carers and families impacted by health conditions.
- Confidence to deliver effective and engaging education and training to health professionals and service providers, if required.
- Exceptional time management focussed on maximising client outcomes.
- Proficiency in using technology and online client management systems
- Relevant WA Health immunisations and worker screening checks
- Current WA drivers' licence, reliable vehicle and ability to travel within the designated region to provide community nursing services
