About the role
We are currently seeking an Undermanager. This role is for a permanent position based on site on an established underground coal mine located in the Mudgee region in NSW. 

As an Undermanager you can anticipate some of your day-to-day responsibilities to include:

• Allocate Deputies to the Districts of the Mine to Comply with Mine Inspection System and the WH&S Act and Regulations. 
• Ensure Compliance with all Management Plans & Systems used. 
• Audit areas of the mine to maintain compliance with Management Plans & Systems
• Respond to Trigger Action response Plans (TARPs)
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard & in Compliance with the standards established for the various areas of the mine. 
• Conduct Start of Shift Meetings with Deputies, Crew Leaders & Control room operators
• Conduct Debriefing Meetings with Deputies, Crew Leaders & Control room operators
• Read & sign all statutory & deputies production reports for your shift

What are we looking for?

• Experienced in underground longwall mining.
• NSW Second Class certificate of competency (Undermanager)
• Strong leadership & people management skills
• Strong focus for safety and promoting a positive safety culture
• Ability to meet production targets
