The OMP team is an internal division of Gallagher Australia that is responsible for development and growth of exclusive binder insurance products for the Gallagher broking network.
The purpose of this role is to underwrite risks in accordance with binding authority contracts, rating guidelines and/or procedures as outlined in the OMP procedures manual. You will learn about key aspects of binders such as loss ratio performance, bordereaux submission, third party claims handling, capacity and premium income limits.
- Articulating the OMP value proposition (or equivalent) and dominant priorities
- Support the management of binder portfolios to ensure profitability is achieved and maintained
- Support the achieving of revenue targets that are set and agreed
- Assisting with the preparation of referrals that go to our markets where required
- Keeping up to date with all administrative requirements such as renewals, debtors, policy issuance, submission registers etc
- Helping to manage key relationships with Gallagher brokers, insurers, claims handlers, placement brokers and any other relevant business partner to ensure a high standard of relationship is maintained
- Delivering a high quality service to Gallagher brokers
- Ongoing monitoring and reporting of key relationship status
- Being compliant with all regulatory, company, divisional and delegated authority requirements to meet audit standard expectations
- Participating in personal and professional development programs as appropriate
This is a great opportunity and to be considered, we are seeking an Underwriter in a similar role plus:
- Current Underwriting experience with a minimum of 5 Financial Lines experience preferred.
- A good understanding of policy wordings, key covers and endorsements
- Familiarity with the local and Lloyd's of London market (Ideal)
- A strong personal drive, attention to detail and sales development focus
