The Opportunity:
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Urban Designer/Senior Designer to join Urbis's Melbourne Design studio! This is a pivotal role within our national Design team, where you will provide high-quality technical, production and design expertise daily.
Your collaborative approach, creative thinking and professionalism will allow you to support our clients and foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
At Urbis, you will take part in shaping cities and communities, therefore a genuine enthusiasm for the pursuit of world class design, as well as advanced graphic, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.
You will:
- Work across a wide range of exciting urban design projects
- Visually and creatively communicate key design concepts across a range of methods and platforms
- Provide support to both the local and other regional Design teams in servicing client needs.
- Provide a broad range of quality services including site analysis, project positioning, urban framework plans, urban context reports, yield analyses, master planning and design guidelines for place making projects.
- Work efficiently and collaboratively alongside other professionals on a range of multi-disciplinary projects.
- Provide support to other team members in servicing project requirements.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban & Regional Planning or a related discipline.
- Experience in an Urban Design practice.
- 3+ years relevant experience.
