Urban Ecology Coordinator - 9 Month Contract (With Possible Extension)

$71.00 per hour + super
Days required to work
Monday – Friday (potentially an occasionally weekend day)
Key responsibilities & duties:
- Assist with finalising the Urban Ecology Strategic Action Plan update, establishing Urban Ecology targets and measuring results.
- Implement priorities outlined in the Urban Ecology Strategic Action Plan through the identification and delivery of appropriate projects, programs, capital works activities, contracts and initiatives.
- Provide expert technical advice in relation to Urban Ecology and effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive positive Urban Ecology outcomes and meet strategic targets.
- Project manage a range of Urban Ecology strategies and programs, including identification of project milestones, timeframes for delivery, budget requirements, project risks, and reporting requirements.
Essential knowledge, skills & experience
- Tertiary qualification in Ecology, Environmental Engineering or Science, or other related field with related competencies and experience in project and/or contract management.
- General professional experience in environmental management with a focus on Urban Ecology and driving delivery of outcomes.
- Proven experience in the design, implementation and assessment of environmental strategies and programs, with an emphasis on Urban Ecology.
- Proven experience managing consultants, contractors and service providers.
