The ACEREZ consortium, which includes the ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), has been appointed Preferred Proponent to design and construct the transmission line infrastructure for the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (CWO REZ), as part of Australia’s energy transition, outlined in the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap.
The new transmission infrastructure, which will combine high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and related infrastructure, will enable generators such as solar and wind farms and energy storage providers in the CWO REZ to connect to the electricity grid, providing a reliable supply of clean, affordable electricity for households and businesses across NSW while helping to meet the state’s newly legislated Net Zero targets.

AC JV are currently seeking a Utilities Manager to join our team, responsible for efficiently managing utility design aspects prior to project commencement.
Specific Tasks Include
- Developing and reviewing construction planning and monitoring progress to ensure all elements of the project are on schedule and within budget; taking corrective action as required.
- Ensure that the planning and coordination of activities for all utilities relocations and protection works fall in line with the requirements of the Area Managers safety and program objectives. Should conflict in activities arise, resolve the conflict issue together with the Area Managers
- Execute the designated design management strategy for projects/tenders.
- Ensure compliance with approved design drawings and specifications.
- Support in assessing and mitigating design risks.
- Adhere to target programs regarding design matters, aligning with internal and external requirements.
- Identify relevant authorities for approvals and manage interrelationships.
- Prepare authority submissions and approval programs in line with project schedules.
- Secure favourable approval conditions from authorities.
- Develop and achieve detailed short-term target programs.
- Contribute to short, medium, and long-term planning for program works.
- Review subcontractors' construction programs, identifying critical areas and integrating them into the project program.
- Monitor work progress, informing the Area Manager of significant changes and proposed remedial actions.
- Make timely decisions and address all correspondence promptly.
Key Competencies
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant tertiary education.

Currently, this position is located in our project office in Sydney CBD, with occasional site visits. However, once the project is fully operational, it will transition to a roster-based arrangement.
