Your new role
This VCE English Teacher reports to the Head of School and works collaboratively with the Curriculum and Wellbeing Coaches. Further, you will be expected to;
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement high quality and engaging teaching programs
- Ensure focus on student learning is continuous, compliant with current curriculum requirements and relative to the needs of students.
- Operate in accordance with the VIT Code of Conduct and Ethics and AITSL Standards.
- Maintain a good knowledge of developments in the education sector, focussing on the secondary years
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will require;
- VIT registration and an appreciation of faith-based practises and teachings.
- Demonstrated experience teaching English at VCE level.
- Understanding of the standards, Principles of Learning and Teaching, Assessment and Reporting advice
- Personal commitment to continued learning and personal development
- High level organisation and communication skills (written and verbal) as well as highly developed interpersonal skills
- Experience using a range of contemporary approaches to student learning and effective pedagogical practices
