Karora Resources is a Canadian owned, multi-asset gold producer with operations across the Goldfields region of Western Australia. Our producing mining operations of Beta Hunt and Higginsville are supported by two processing facilities, one on site at Higginsville and our Lakewood plant located in Kalgoorlie, providing a combined processing capacity of 2.6Mtpa.

THE OPPORTUNITY
- Complete ventilation design for new mining levels and stope extraction plans, including VentSim modelling for changes to primary ventilation circuits and re-entry calculations
- Generate ventilation work instructions documents for new and existing ventilation installations and plan underground project crew work schedules
- Manage and maintain ventilation directions on mining shift documents and ventilation instructions to operational workforce
- Build relationships with underground mining supervisors and crews and provide ventilation education and execution of ventilation works
- Help and coach the production engineers, occasionally assisting with the creation of drill and blast plans
- Gain exposure to mine planning processes with coaching provided by planning engineers in stope and development design
ABOUT YOU
- Current “C” Class Western Australian driver’s licence
- Recognised tertiary degree in Mine Engineering
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in an underground production, ventilation or projects role
- Knowledge and understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act & Regulations
- Proficient use and application of MSOffice suite, and mining software (Deswik preferred)
- A can-do, team-oriented attitude
- Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
- Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable
- Excellent communication skills
