AddressDue to the growing start-up/technology eco-system in Australia/New Zealand, our client is looking for an Investment Associate / Investment Manager professional to join their firm.
In this role, the successful candidate will be an integral part of the investment team and be involved in the entire process from sourcing, to investment and importantly, working closely with portfolio companies to help them to succeed.
Your role will involve :
- Assist in finding the next Aussie unicorn by proactively meeting new companies as well as reviewing incoming investment leads
- Prioritise the many opportunities that we see each month and conduct due diligence on early-stage companies
- Represent the firm at events and in the broader tech ecosystem
- Work together closely with portfolio companies as they grow
- Develop and build relationships with key stakeholders in the ecosystem and assist in building on the firms reputation for being a founder-friendly partner to the most successful startups in the region
Candidates require:
- A passion for the technology sector and building the future economy
- 1-5 years of professional experience in a start-up, technology firm, direct investment group, corporate advisory or management consulting
- Core personal attributes of curiosity, thoughtfulness and empathy
- Confidence in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
