The Financial Investment Manager will work directly for the Managing Director to support the management of Tandem Investment Partners investment portfolio. You will support the identification, research, due diligence, and selection of eligible asset fund targets. You will manage the movement, performance analysis, compliance and reporting of the allocated funds. You will support the greater business with project-based analysis as needed. All of these responsibilities align with the ultimate objective of increasing the investment performance.
The role is based in Gordon, Sydney and will work closely with the Tandem team, and leaders within the private equity sector of the business across Australia and Canada to support the growth agenda of the business.
Tandem Investment Partners, is an Australian owned Family Office. Tandem focuses on three core areas of investment through Funds Management, Active Private Equity and Charity. Tandem Investment Partners recently completed the sale of Solaft Filtration Solutions to Micronics in 2023. MagShield remains as part of the Tandem active private equity portfolio. Due to the recent nature of the sale of Solaft, this is a pivotal moment to become part of a growing business for the right person.

Your role in a nutshell:
- Support Managing Director with strategic portfolio planning and management of both the Trust and Charitable Trust
- Identify and validate relevant asset fund targets through legal and commercial due diligence
- Analysis of the investment strategy, operations and financial performance
- Regular reporting on fund and commercial performance
- Support internal stakeholders in adhoc and project based analysis
- Carry out market and investment research and analysis
- Build presentations and ensure sound communication with stakeholders
- Work collaboratively in supporting the Managing Director to deliver the set objectives
- Undertake administrative duties, including fund management and corporate payments
- Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you will:
- Qualifications in the Finance, Economic, Business or Accounting disciplines preferred
- Have at least 8 years post qualification experience ideally supporting fund management
- Have a strong commercial mindset and the ability to work in a changing environment
- Display strong financial modelling skills including forecast and valuation models
- Have an ability to creatively solve problems when the answers aren’t always obvious
- Display an ability to work well with a wide range of people whilst being discrete, high-energy, agile-minded, strategic and proactive.
