AddressWe are recruiting for an experienced Venue Manager for Café Muse, Queensland Museum Kurilpa.
We are looking for a star who is personable and well presented – a hospitality natural. You will have an innate ability to oversee the front of house operations, including managing all café and service-related tasks to ensure our many guests are provided with professional and courteous service.
Reporting into our Director of Food &Beverage, this position is responsible for driving the growth and quality of F&B operations and managing an amazing group of service staff.
We are looking for a strong operator, with an eye for detail and a focus on staff development and improving customer experience. This role is hands on, with the Venue Manager is expected to cover the barista’s, cashiers and servers when required.
The venue is fast paced, particularly during school holiday periods, and requires a manager that is focussed on maintaining the highest of standards in quality and service , all year round.

The Role
- Manage and oversee a successful café and a range of functions and events on-site
- Lead an exceptional front of house team, with the kitchen team indirectly reporting in
- Deliver great customer service to regular patrons and guests
- Maintain and enhance positive relationships between back and front of house teams
- Achieve P&L budgets , including beverage cost, wages and other expenses
About you
- Prior experience managing a busy and successful venue and events
- Proven time management skills
- Innovative approach to food & Beverage operations
- Strong barista skills, a must
- A high achieving approach with the ability to guide, drive and mentor a team of staff
- Friendly personality, with a focus on providing top level customer service
- A passion for the hospitality industry
- Valid RMLV
