The Art Gallery attracts over 1.4 million visitors annually and runs Australia’s largest education program with over 90,000 student and teacher visits per year.
With the recent opening of our expanded art campus, the Art Gallery has a new state-of-the-art building located next to our existing and much-loved building. Providing us with close to double the exhibition space, the expanded Art Gallery enables us to share more art with more people and provide more family, learning and educational programming for all our audiences.

About the role
Build strategic marketing plans and execute marketing activities to support the Venues, Tourism and Business Development for the Gallery. Oversee the Venue and Event operations for internal and commercial activities. Support the team as required with event sales management.

What technical / soft skills you require * Marketing and/or Operations related tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated knowledge, understanding and considerable experience in developing marketing strategy, planning, development and implementation of marketing activities and campaigns
- Strong organisational, project and budget management skills to manage complex and time pressured work flows
- Strong people-management skills
- Significant experience in event coordination for major corporate clients and understanding the markets
- RSA certificate
- Ability to work evenings, early mornings and weekends as required
- Please provide an example of a marketing strategy you have devised, developed and led which resulted in a strong measurable outcome (revenue/booking impact) for an organisation. (maximum 300 words)
