GVC are providing recruitment support to a independent Small Animal General Practice, ICU, and Emergency Hospital looking for Veterinary Receptionist

Summary

This clinic has a team over 60 vets and nurses working within a well rounded and well-equipped hospital environment. They are committed to providing the very highest level of care to their patients and clients. They have 3 hospital locations and currently provide one of the only genuine 24hour emergency services to the surrounding suburbs of Western Sydney.

All 3 hospitals are constantly upgrading their equipment to remain ahead of the curve when it comes the diagnosis and treatment options for their patients, with their most recent upgrade being ventilators, endoscopy, and CT.

They are looking for two experienced and dedicated individuals to work regular Afternoon Reception shifts in our busy emergency hospital located in Regentville, NSW.

Role Responsibilities:

• Answering a high volume of incoming calls efficiently
• Managing appointment schedules for the hospitals and taking bookings
• Performing cash handling and till reconciliation procedures
• Responding to incoming emails
• Responding to online social media enquiries
• Understanding customer's objectives, buying decisions and assist in selecting the right products/services
• Triaging patients confidently and obtaining critical information from clients during emergencies
• Giving support to clients in distress
• Providing clients with necessary financial information and explaining processes and expectations clearly to avoid confusion.
• Carrying out a variety of administrative tasks for the hospitals such as client follow up, insurance claims, account management and invoice checking.
• Handling customer complaints as per company policy
• Taking client product orders
• Implementing customer service schemes and services changes as well as marketing strategies as required by the company.

To be successful:

• Have a Veterinary Nursing and Customer service background
• Hold a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent industry relevant qualification
• Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Have strong negotiation skills and ability to listen to the clients needs
• The ability to explain complex or technical information in a straightforward manner
• A high level of computer literacy
• A strong desire to learn new skills
• Have an enthusiastic and outgoing personality
• Have an excellent phone manner and customer service/communication skills
• Have experience using RxWorks (desired but not essential)
• Have experience using Smartflow (desired but not essential)
• Be open to regular feedback and eager for continual self-improvement
• Be willing to work a rotating roster of regular afternoon/evening shifts during the week and on weekends.
• Be willing to work as a team and assist other roles in the hospital when required.
• Availability to work up to 38 hours a week
