About us
Vetnostics (part of Laverty Pathology, Healius Pathology) is a specialist veterinary laboratory dedicated to providing a quality diagnostic pathology service to veterinarians. The service offers a wide range of veterinary testing, including biochemistry and haematology, microbiology, endocrinology, serology, histopathology and cytology.
Vetnostics is part of the national Specialist Veterinary Services (SVS) Pathology Network with Vetnostics being the state-based point of service in NSW/ACT within a national network.
About the role
We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Work with key operational team members to manage customer and laboratory expectations, by acting as a conduit between customer care / commercial team / clients and laboratory operations as point of contact.
- Assist with development implementation, monitoring and improvement of veterinary operational procedures and practices within metropolitan and regional laboratories.
- Creating client accounts, account class updates, monitoring enquiries e-mail inboxes
- Assisting with complex client enquiries.
- Providing support for and liaising with - veterinary pathologists, laboratory team – departments, specimen reception, referred tests, data entry, logistics – couriers and stores.
- Liaising and provision of information for business development, communications to clients, and submitting marketing requests,
- Managing veterinary client stores orders, P2P for referral test laboratories
- Manage own performance according to position requirements and performance expectations
- Clearly and consistently follow policies and procedures ensuring that tasks are completed to the required standard
- Demonstrate a current knowledge of veterinary pathology specimen procedures and a willingness and ability to learn new procedures as required
About you
To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
- Experience providing technical support or exceptional customer service, preferably within a veterinary or other scientific environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
- Proven relationship building skills and a commitment to improving day to day operations of the Vetnostics service.
- Computer literate with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
- Self-motivated and able to demonstrate initiative.
- Passion for a positive customer experience.
- Demonstrated ability for multitasking and task prioritisation.
- Strict attention to detail and ability to follow tasks through to completion.
- Ability to operate under and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise.
- An understanding of scientific principles relating to laboratory methods is preferred but not essential.
