YOUR ROLE
As the VIC/TAS Operations Manager for our Finished Vehicle Logistics branch at Truganina VIC, you will manage all operational activities, processes, and systems within the branch.
Your role aims to ensure total compliance with CEVA's contractual obligations to customers and nominated service standards.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Specifically, you will:
- Review the Vehicle Logistics performance report, focusing on actions to improve cost per vehicle, utilisation, and empty running
- Monitor, coach, develop, and effectively manage team performance
- Ensure high real-time usage of systems (FACTS, C-PoD, VCMS) to capture vehicle movements, providing visibility to customers
- Coordinate vehicle and equipment maintenance and control, including ongoing reporting and proactive management of vehicle and equipment maintenance
- Ensure timely completion of transit damage non-conformance reporting and drive improvements and remedies to root causes
- Liaise with key customers regarding KPI reviews, audits, and day-to-day account/relationship management
- Support Risk Management, Quality, and SCA activities to achieve legislative and CEVA standards.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate has proven experience in managing 3PL operations in any industry OR is ready to step-up to this level.
You should also have:
- Experience in Transport and Logistics Management
- Sound knowledge of state metropolitan, rural areas and major road routes within Australia
- Experience and/or knowledge of enterprise agreements, labor planning, and/or industrial relations
- Excellent communication, stakeholder/customer management, and planning skills
- Bonus: Knowledge of Finished Vehicle Logistics management
In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
