The Role
This position will be responsible for the entire management of the operation, facility and customer relations of VIC. This position reports directly to Chief Operating Officer. We offer regular working hours, with no weekend work.
The successful applicant will identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies and ensure all activities are performed safely across all operations and sectors.
Displaying strong leadership skills, business intelligence and a hands-on approach, the responsibilities will include:
- Providing strong leadership and management to all staff to ensure smooth functioning of the operation and compliance with all systems, policies and procedures.
- Manage and maintain the financial performance, full accountability for P&L costs for the state.
- Efficient workforce planning, optimising resource deployment to manage operational costs and exceed expectations.
- Monitoring staff performance and progress, developing a high performing and engaged team.
- Maintain an understanding of legislation applicable to the workplace and ability to act in accordance with (but not limited to) WHS guidelines, CoR, Duty of care responsibilities, and all company policies and procedures.
About You
- Minimum 5 years proven experience in a Logistics management position.
- Strong financial analytic and reporting skills.
- Ability to mentor, lead, drive and manage a team to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Advanced customer service experience with the ability to engage and liaise at multiple levels.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Hands-on, can-do attitude and approach.
- Sound skills of Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of TMS and WMS systems (highly regarded).
