Video Producer opportunity
- Approx. $55-$65 per hour plus Super dependent on experience

Our client, a government agency, currently seeks an experienced Video Producer for a 3-month contract with an immediate start based in Melbourne CBD. You will assist in creating and developing high-quality video and photographic content for customer stories, internal communications, external social videos, marketing videos, social media, recruiting videos, corporate training and other department-wide projects.
Responsibilities and Duties
Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Working within the video team to plan and produce video and photographic projects and ensure they are in line with the Department's strategies.
- Scoping, planning, developing and managing production of departmental digital media outputs, including video, graphics and photography, undertaking local and regional travel as required.
- Assisting in the creation and refinement of scripts, project concepts, and other materials.
- Seeking opportunities to engage stakeholders in the development and application of new and/or contemporary methodologies to improve communications services.
- Collaborating with stakeholders (internal and external) and work with other members of the branch to ensure the delivery of seamless and professional communications services for all areas of the department.
- Contributing to continuous improvement to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the Communications and Engagement Branch.
- Producing and developing engaging video content for use across department social media and digital channels in accordance with the content strategy and editorial plan.
To be successful in this role, your technical expertise will include:
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a high-performing video and creative team.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and developing high quality video and photographic content with advanced skills in filming, editing and motion graphics.
- Demonstrated advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects.
- Experienced at handling multiple aspects of production at the same time, framing, lighting and sound, both on site and within a studio environment.
- Professionalism - can talk to clients and manage their expectations while on set, always ensuring they have a positive experience.
- Experienced in using a variety of digital cameras, lighting and camera accessories, and audio recording equipment.
- Animation and drone camera operation experience is advantageous.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant government legislation and experience in a digital media role would be expected.
- Tertiary qualification in fields related to Multimedia, Video Production, Animation, Media and Communications or associated disciplines would be advantageous.
- A current car licence will be required.
