Your Part in Our Retirement Livings Team
As the Retirement Village Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of operational plans, work closely with sales to ensure occupancy levels are maintained and managing the day to day activities in one or more Retirement Villages. You will demonstrate continued commitment in providing resident focused service and a 'sense of place' in the Villages and hold responsibility for the following duties:
- Foster a professional working relationship with the village residents and team members.
- Support, facilitate and promote resident’s participation in village activities and ensure activities reflect resident’s preferences.
- Ensure effective resident communication including notices and newsletters, formal and informal meetings and information sessions.
- Manage resident concerns and complaints to resolution in accordance with the feedback and complaints policy and legislative requirements. Investigate and follow up with appropriate action.
- Lead and coach village staff, and ensure a customer focus and operational excellence
- Manage the performance of all village team members and conduct management activities, performance appraisals, succession planning, and individual development plans as relevant and in line with HR policy.
- Manage sales forecasts and feasibility studies for new products and services by conducting research into competitor analysis and pricing and current and future industry direction.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong people management skills, commercial acumen and a client centre approach with passion for working with the young at heart. Your ability to be an active member of the team is key. To be successful in the role, you will also possess:
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Hospitality, Hotel Management or equivalent experience.
- A demonstrated empathy and understanding of working with older people.
- Demonstrated financial, budget and general office administration management experience including sound knowledge and use of computer software packages e.g. Microsoft Office suite and database applications.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and written communication skills with a high level of organisations skills and the ability to effectively manage and prioritise work loads.
- Understanding of current workplace health and safety regulations (WH&S) and continuous quality improvement practices.
- Current Queensland Drivers Licence
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
