Job Description

We are excited to present a unique opportunity for an IT professional to join the team with an excellent work culture at a leading global energy company in Perth, WA. This pivotal role centres around providing technical support to its executive team, including the Chairman, CEO, their direct reports and other internal VIPs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be the go-to person for Executives and VIPs when they encounter IT challenges.
  • Provide exceptional face-to-face and remote support.
  • Safeguard sensitive and confidential information, always demonstrating discipline and adherence to information security and privacy policies.
  • Participate in change advisory meetings and communicate IT system changes and their impact to Executives and VIPs.
  • Coordinate IT support activities for external executive events such as Board meetings and Investor briefings. Travel to satellite offices or event venues as required.
  • Resolve IT application and hardware issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Monitor and proactively manage VIPs' IT equipment and systems to ensure service continuity.
  • Provide regular status reporting on service quality, trends and escalations.
  • Liaise with IT teams when a challenge requires escalations and further attention.·
  • Provide tailored, face-to-face IT training to the Executives and their Assistants as required.
  • Protect Executives and VIPs from cyber-related attacks through monitoring and educating on good cyber practices.
  • Utilise support ticketing systems to track and manage VIP-tagged IT requests and incidents.
  • Continuously learn and grow in the ever-evolving world of technology.

Experience/Skill requirements

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience providing desktop support, including having engaged with senior stakeholders and VIPs within corporate environments
  • Advanced skills in system administration and troubleshooting within Windows and MacOS environments
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Advanced awareness of cyber vulnerabilities and risks posed to travelling VIPs
  • Advanced expertise in using and supporting Office 365 applications, Cisco Webex and other industry-standard collaboration technologies
  • Advanced expertise in supporting corporate mobile devices and applications
  • Advanced level of understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and Exchange
  • Advanced level of understanding of IT service management processes (ITIL)

Desirable

  • Awareness of the oil, gas and energy industry and/or the resources sector
  • Advanced level of understanding of continuous improvement and business process improvement
  • Awareness of SAP and enterprise applications and how they integrate and enable business process

Additional Skills:

  • Excellent Customer Interfacing and Vendor Management Skills.
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and Problem-Solving skills.
