Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a Visiting Medical Officer to join our team at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital!
We are looking for a Visiting Medical Officer in Paediatric Ophthalmology. The primary purpose of the role of Visiting Medical Officer in Paediatric Ophthalmology is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Paediatric Ophthalmology and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Newborn Care Unit and Hospital as required.
The Visiting Medical Officer in Paediatric Ophthalmology will provide clinical ophthalmological examination, together with screening and treatment for retinopathy of prematurity for newborns in RPA Newborn Care.
The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO) with recognised qualifications in Paediatric Ophthalmology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
