The RoleThis is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work flexible hours on a part-time basis, 4 days a week.
Reporting to the Water Literacy Manager, the Visitor Experience and Events Lead is responsible for improving water literacy as well as building trust and connections with our customers and the community through visitation programs for our sites and associated events.
This role exists to develop and deliver visitation strategy, programs, partnerships and new initiatives and Events that support the implementation of Water Literacy and brand strategy.
This will be achieved through:
- Developing and delivering visitation and events strategy in line with community and education Water Literacy objectives using research and insights to inform the approach.
- Developing and delivering partnerships strategy to enhance visitation experience at Melbourne Water sites as directed by the Water Literacy Strategy.
- Developing and delivering governance structure to enhance visitor experience at agreed sites.
- Supporting the communications and marketing team in amplification of key marketing themes through leverage of partnerships, events and visitation strategy.
- Experience in developing and delivering large scale events and visitation experiences at scale.
- Extensive experience in the strategic development, execution and evaluation of partnerships to enhance visitation and Events - preferably gained within a leadership role.
- Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and influencing to achieve program goals.
- Experience in leading and managing virtual teams to deliver on programs and projects.
- Highly developed oral and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate with and advise senior management on sponsorship issues.
Please note that this role is based in Docklands but you will be required to travel to our Western Treatment Plant (primarily) on a regular basis to deliver the Visitation and Events program. It is essential that you have a Victorian driver’s licence.
