The Visitor Services team welcomes visitors to the award-winning South Bank building, connecting visitors to collections, exhibitions, services, and spaces. At The Edge, the team empowers creative experimentation by assisting visitors to engage with the resources and equipment.
A key focus of this role will be providing visitors with a safe, welcoming and positive experience whilst visiting State Library.
Duties and responsibilities we'll trust you with
Your key responsibilities will be:
* Delivering engaging and educational experience for visitors to the State Library.
* Supporting visitors to explore State Library's collections and services including providing advice on library membership.
* Ensuring level 1 public spaces and equipment is clean, tidy and operational, escalating any issues to relevant internal stakeholders.
* Facilitating client engagement with resources and equipment and providing general troubleshooting assistance.
* Undertaking day to day operations at The Brink including sales of food and drink items, preparation of coffees and other beverages, stock management, processing of cash and credit/debit card transactions, and end of day reporting and balancing according to State Library policies and procedures.
* Contributing to a positive and safe work environment by modelling conduct that is culturally capable, inclusive, respectful, and ethical.
