Two AO5 Senior Ranger positions - Visitor and Asset Management
- Plan and deliver visitor and asset programs and projects in central Queensland
- Plan and deliver regional visitor and asset projects and programs within the QPWS Central Region.
- develop processes and tools and provide training and technical advice to project managers and operational teams
- report on asset and visitor-related projects and programs, identify risks and offer solutions
- oversee the administration of asset-related contracts - draft briefs, technical specifications and conditions of quotation/tender and contracts
- ensure infrastructure inspections and plant and equipment maintenance is undertaken, recorded and corrective actions are implemented
- consult, collaborate and negotiate with staff, Traditional Owners, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders
- effectively manage staff, resources and budgets
- coordinate and assist with the preparation of funding proposals
- develop processes and tools and provide training and technical advice to support regional staff in project, asset and procurement management
- collaboratively plan and promote appropriate, sustainable and innovative use of the Region's parks and forests
- support programs that inform and educate visitors and the general public about the importance of the Region's natural and cultural assets.
