As we continue to welcome visitors to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, we have an opportunity for a passionate and friendly Visitor Services Officer to support the delivery of providing a warm welcome to our visitors, selling tickets and memberships, and providing an overall exceptional visitor experience.
About the Role
As our enthusiastic and reliable Visitor Services Officer, you will deliver a warm welcome to our guests and deliver accurate administration, directions, and information to our visitors.
Reporting to our Guest Services Manager, you will be part of a friendly and welcoming team and be responsible for providing customer service to a diverse range of people and providing accurate and timely information to visitor’s enquiries.
As an experienced customer service person, you will also be selling the features of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary including memberships, animal encounters and upselling additional park features and be responsible for cash handling and operating a POS system on ticketing and in our car park.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and customer service skills & are comfortable communicating with both local and international guests. Previous experience in ticketing, reservations or guest relations will be highly regarded. Other key skills and qualifications we are looking for include:
- Excellent customer service and telephone skills & the ability to solve customer complaints.
- Experience in cash handling and operating a POS system.
- Have excellent time management skills, ability to works autonomously and are a team player with an energetic and positive attitude.
- As this is a casual position you will have availability to work across weekends, public holidays, and school holidays.
- Must be comfortable working in an outdoor environment that includes birds & reptiles.
