Visits and Events Team Administrator

  • Join the New Zealand High Commission administrative team in Canberra, Australia
  • Support the High Commission and provide support for complex Visits and contribute to successful outcomes

About the role 

This role is situated at the heart of the New Zealand High Commission’s operations and public facing efforts, and involves collaboration with all members of the team.  You will provide efficient, effective and proactive support across a portfolio of visits (large and small).  The role involves: liaising with High Commission staff (and various Australia and New Zealand agencies) to develop visit programmes and arrange associated meetings and appointments.  The role is responsible for oversight of all visit logistical arrangements. This includes planning events to be delivered alongside Visits and executing other small events in collaboration with others. The role also includes wider administrative support including implementation and supervision of internal projects, responsibility for ICT administration tasks to ensure our systems are secure and run smoothly as well as providing back-up support to our Executive Assistant during periods of leave.

There is an attractive salary range for this position, dependent on skills and experience.  The ideal candidate will be available to commence duties in April.  The successful applicant will be employed on local terms and conditions and must have the right to work in the Australia. The applicant must be able to obtain and maintain an appropriate New Zealand Government Security Clearance. If applicable, relocation to Canberra will be the responsibility of the applicant.
