Mentone Grammar is a dynamic ELC through to Year 12 co-educational School, with a proud history dating back to the 1920s. Our School is structured into six campuses, housed in one location in the Bayside suburb of Mentone.
Just like our students, Mentone Grammar staff are inspired to ‘be even better’ with the support of a strong mentoring program, professional development opportunities and a welcoming community.
The school is an open-entry school, drawing students from local Bayside and surrounding suburbs. The school became co-educational in 2006 and adopted a unique Together-Apart-Together model of education, which has resulted in continual growth. The school has a strong philosophy of ensuring that students are happy, healthy, and high achieving.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking applications from contemporary, enthusiastic educators with sound Visual Arts teaching experience to lead and support our students on their educational journey from Term 2, 2024 and beyond.
This is an on-going opportunity and would suit someone who is looking for 0.8 FTE to 1.0 FTE.

ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this role we are seeking teachers with:
- A breadth of Years 7 – 12 teaching experience
- Demonstrated experience teaching Visual Arts (essential)
- Experience in VCE Art Creative Practice and/or VCE Art Making and Exhibiting and/or VCE Visual Communication Design
- A proven track record of delivering excellent VCE outcomes (desired but not essential)
- A contemporary approach to their teaching practice
- Understanding of how students ‘learn best’
- Ability to effectively plan and deliver outstanding lessons which engage and extend all students
- A strong knowledge of current pedagogical thinking and a commitment to student wellbeing and safety.
- Tertiary qualification in Education
- Current Victorian Institute of Teachers (VIT) registration
