About the role
The Manager Volunteer Services (MVS) is responsible for coordinating Volunteer Services in the community and hospital, as part of a multi-disciplinary team that promotes positive outcomes for the patients, carers and families and supports the service objectives of Calvary Health Care.
About you
- Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in volunteer management, community service delivery or other relevant fields.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the scope of modern practice of volunteer services within a healthcare setting and the broader community including processes and issues pertaining to volunteering in palliative care.
- Demonstrated effective managerial, organisational, to determine priorities and delegate tasks for volunteers to achieve work objectives
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and to liaise professionally with a range of stakeholders, and proficiently conduct debriefings with volunteers individually and in group settings.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible, adaptable, and responsive to competing demands of the role, work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in performing a range of management and administrative tasks within allocated timeframe.
- Strong competence in the use of computers and associated office software to achieve work outcomes and develop a range of documents and to maintain appropriate records.
- Current unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence. (with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
