The Company:This company is one of the largest event suppliers in Australia and services the special events, theatrical, film, TV and exhibition industries. They not only specialise in hiring props and furniture, but they also custom-build special items, design and construct set pieces, and scenic art. They are looking for a Warehouse Assistant to join the rapidly growing team.
The Role:
The Warehouse Assistant will report to the General Manager. The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for managing the full range of the company's inventory.
Key Responsibilities include;
- To undertake preparation for dispatch to customers on the full range of the company's inventory and studios
- Manage return of inventory, including updating systems
- Warehouse is always kept in a tidy and safe manner
- Ensure that all work undertaken is completed with due regard for quality, productivity, and safety
- Provide a service to clients (internal & external) and maintain a good customer relationship as a priority
- Successfully manages multiple tasks at any one time meeting conflicting deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure and have a can-do attitude
- Meets deadlines and prioritises
- Communicates pressure points, challenges, and conflicts
- Seeks guidance and support
- Maintain a harmonious working relationship with other staff members
- Support day-to-day communications with team, to include, but not limited to daily and weekly meetings
- Provide back-up support to your team as required when they are onsite, on leave or have conflicting pressure points
- Work Health and Safety of Individual Team within the office and on a program.
The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate with a passion for events, customer service and warehouse management. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment adhering to deadlines is highly desirable.

- Previous warehouse management experience is highly desirable
- Adaptable and flexible to unexpected changes and deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, but also autonomously when required
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite is required, and knowledge of EventsAIR is highly desirable
- Exceptional attention to detail and good time management skills
- Ability to work from the warehouse/office 5 days a week
