Warehouse Coordinator

Perma Composites™(www.permacomposites.com) is a national distributor of Timber Composites (PermaTimber™) and Fibre Reinforced Plastic (PermaStruct™) products. Perma’s customer base spans Australia’s major hardware retailers, major Mining, Construction Building and Utility Companies, Perma Composites sources products both Internationally and domestically to fulfil our customer demands. 

To better service the retail market, Perma wishes to appoint a motivated Warehouse Co-Ordinator. The role will be based in our Melbourne Warehouse located at the Melbourne Airport | VIC 3045 | Australia and will be responsible for the following:  

• Planning and organising workloads / schedules to ensure customer expectations are met with on time delivery of goods. 
• Utaliazation of the business Standard Operating Procedures for all process and procedures in coordinating on-time delivery of goods both interstate and intrastate deliveries 
• Safe movement of stock using a forklift, this includes loading and unloading trucks and containers.  
• Accurate, neat, and safe completion, of the packing of goods and related paperwork as per the business standard operating procedure. 
• Safe operation of all onsite machinery. 
• Maintenance of a safe and clean working environment 
• Upholding our strong safety culture and contributing the company’s accreditation to ISO9001:2015 for quality and ISO 45001:2018 safety 
• Complete prestart procedures daily and be involved in business meetings when required. 
• Be involved with a National team creating a positive environment ensuring communication with all team members and customers is in place. 

The successful candidate will be reliable, enthusiastic be happy to work in a team environment and will constantly strive to achieve improvement in all aspects of a safe warehouse operation. 

The minimum attributes for this role include the following: 

• Background in warehouse operations, trade environment 
• Familiarity with Microsoft Suite including outlook, excel, Teams and Business Central is desirable for this role. 
• Ability to set own goals and meet them. 
• Ability to work productively and unsupervised to meet business KPI’s when required. 
• Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence 
• Forklift license (min of 12 months required - LF) experience with a combi lift would be beneficial.  
• Familiarity with Microsoft Suite including Microsoft Teams and Business Central is desirable for this role. 
• Willingness to participate in vaccination programs recommended by government health authorities.
