What we need:
A super motivated Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator who is keen to work for a values-based biz; we would love someone who really cares about the job that they do and the impact it has on the customer. Our new Soul brother or Soul sister will be a team player, and really enjoy working with that team to deliver results.
What you will do:
- Processing domestic and international sales orders
- Liaising with internal departments including sales, warehouse and production in regard to tracking orders and ensuring orders are fulfilled on time
- Assisting with the management of key tenders across National and International logistics requirements
- Completing import and export documentation
- Handling day to day internal and external stock enquiries
- Liaising with suppliers and maintaining positive working relationships
- Assisting with monthly reporting on KPIs and operations
- Assisting and leading key logistics and other supply chain projects
Any other reasonable tasks that the business assigns
Measuring and tracking key supply chain KPIs and using these to improve overall performance
- Using WMS to pick and checking goods off picking list
- Unloading vehicles
- Operating handheld RF scanners to receipt and fulfil orders.
- Assisting with regular stocktakes
- Receiving incoming goods, checking for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.
- Labelling pallets
- General housekeeping of the warehouse, maintain high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Abiding to OH&S guidelines to ensure a safe workplace for all
What you will bring
We are pretty fast paced and growing quickly so our new teammate is going to need to be comfortable with fast paced and changing priorities. Previous warehousing/ distribution experience is essential and there is a physical capability component of the role so you will need to be able to bend, twist and lift. And finally - attitude is everything therefore it’s a must to be proactive, see the bigger picture and have a positive attitude. In the real world this looks like:
- Experience in internal warehousing and distribution (including pick and packing of orders
- Experience in international and local suppliers
- A Background in an import / export environment will be highly regarded
- Experience working with working with a WMS (warehouse management system, use of an RF scanner) required
- Experience in FMCG environment (warehouse and distribution) a bonus but not required
- Safety conscious – aware of and able to adhere to safe work practices
- Excellent communication skills – comfortable to communicate within team and to leaders regarding job specs, issues and improvement opportunities
- Proactive - able to be working in a fast-paced environment with a level of autonomy
- Planning and time management – able to effective plan and manage the day to day tasks related to a warehousing role effectively
- IT literacy particularly in MS Office Suite and Netsuite; experience with Pronto is also highly desirable
- Conscientious - able to comfortably work under pressure
