The Client:
Exciting opportunity to join a freight forwarder who require a Warehouse Manager with strong experience in standard and 3PL warehousing plus knowledge in implementing processes - 2-3years+.
The Position:
As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of a small team and ensuring safety is paramount. Your responsibilities will include:
Manage 2 warehouse operations and associated tasks/one is a 3PL
Lead, delegate and manage your team including; ensuring effective communication of department's objectives, conducting performance reviews and managing poor performance
Constantly review and establish new procedures for all administration relating to warehouse operations to ensure more efficient outcomes
Maximise warehouse efficiency by ensuring effective resource planning
Produce reports and statistics which help guide decision making on warehousing
Ensure the facility is 100% maintained, secure and all safety regulations are met and adhered to
Conduct team meetings to monitor performance and encourage engagement
Work with the Director and Finance Manager on budgeting, forecasting and profitability of warehousing as a business stream in the company
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure effective communications and customers’ requirements are met.
The Requirements:
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role - essential
Demonstrated people management and leadership skills
Exceptional customer service skills
Outstanding organisational skills
Highly developed communication and reporting skills
Excellent skills in writing SOP's
Forklift license and experience using MHE
Ability to ensure safety requirements at all times
Australian Citizen or Permanent resident
