About the role
Reporting to the General Manager the Warehouse Manager (single site) will lead a total team of 50 in the efficient movement of stock and delivery of key performance indicators through strong leadership and management of internal controls.
Responsibilities of the role include
- Ensure the timely retrieval and delivery of goods (loading and transferring)
- Planning, organizing and management of labour to meet business and customer needs
- Critical focus on workplace health and safety requirements being met, report any areas for development to the OH&S Manager.
- All HACCP requirements are being met.
- Effective communication with all internal teams.
- Maintain and develop professional relationships with all external stakeholders, suppliers, customers and drivers
- Train, develop and coach both new and existing staff
- Promote team culture and constantly motivate staff to efficient and effective warehouse management
- Work area is kept in a clean and tidy state and presentable at all times.
Your experience
- Previous experience in Warehouse management, leading operations across multiple shifts preferably with knowledge of food handling practises
- Outstanding people management experience, demonstrable history managing highly effective and compliant teams
- Outstanding track record in OH&S meeting zero incident targets
- Excellent communication and relationship building capability, able to successfully work at all levels and cross functionally
- Very hands on approach, you will most often be found walking the warehouse and with your teams
- Outstanding planning and organisation abilities, leads team in compliance with processes and procedures
- Driven for results, constantly exceeding expectations of internal and external customers
