Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of food products.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and workflow efficiency.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation processes.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and company policies to uphold product quality and integrity.
- Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff to maintain a high-performance team focused on achieving operational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as logistics, procurement, and production, to coordinate inventory needs and fulfillment.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, procedures, and best practices to create a safe work environment for all warehouse personnel.
- Analyze warehouse performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, suppliers, and vendors to facilitate smooth inbound and outbound logistics processes.
- Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and operational KPIs for management review.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in warehouse management within the food industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA) and experience implementing and maintaining compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse warehouse team.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory tracking software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic work environment.
- Forklift certification and other relevant warehouse equipment certifications are a plus.
