Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and direction to the warehouse team and helping the team work to the best of their abilities
- Oversee freight loading & unloading and ensure all freight is manifested correctly.
- Ensuring stock adequacy in close conjunction with Purchasing and manufacturing teams
- Responsible for effective inventory management, stock accuracy and scheduled stocktakes
- Effective resource utilisation and cost control
- Reporting of key metrics like DIFOT, Backorders, Inventory turn, Aged stock, Transport cost etc
- Facilitate team meetings, attend daily site huddles and promptly address agreed actions
- Contribute to the delivery of profitability through leveraging the efficiency improvements opportunities within warehouse and supply chain
- Ensure orders are fulfilled to meet customer expectations, invoiced accurately and delivered safely to our customers
- Management of purchase order receipts for both finished goods and raw materials
- Management of transport for in/outbound freight
- Maintaining strong HSE practices in a safe, clean and hazard free work environment
Skills & Expertise:
- At least 3+ years’ experience as Warehouse Manager in industrial products or similar industry
- Business studies in Logistics/ Supply Chain and/or inventory management will be highly regarded
- Experience in managing and developing teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills along with an eye for detail
- Demonstrated high standard of internal/external stakeholder management
- A good work ethic and passion for continuous improvement
- Intermediate computer skills (WMS experience highly desirable)
- Good problem solving and organizational skills.
- A valid forklift license would be beneficial
