We’re building a reputation as the place to be in Defence. With strong local management, sound investment and a fresh approach, we’re on an exciting trajectory and building unique capability. Leveraging the kind of leading-edge US capabilities and technology most can only imagine our close-knit 800-strong team is busy delivering World-leading innovative and sustainable solutions to safeguard Australia’s future. Together we’re growing a business where everyone contributes, and everyone matters.

Northrop Grumman as the sustainment provider for the KC-30A Enterprise is responsible for the delivery of superior operations support and platform steward leadership for the most optimal value-for-money performance for our customer.

Your Role
As the driving force of our program’s Supply Chain management, you will oversee a Supply Chain team divided into procurement and sourcing, planning, operations and governance. The Program Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading the program’s end to end Supply Chain considering all elements of the Supply Chain functional model.

Your role is critical in fostering collaborative relationships within the Supply Chain and Program teams throughout the NGA Enterprise. You will also manage relationships and performance outcomes with major Program suppliers and lead major sourcing and subcontracting efforts in coordination with the Subcontracts Team. Your strategic input is essential to achieving the Program’s objectives, which include risk management, prioritisation, and enterprise-level implementation. In this role, you will also play a significant part in strategic decision-making and budgeting processes, representing the Supply Chain function as a key leader.

About You
We are on the lookout for a strategic thinker and leader who excels in a matrixed environment, known for a proactive and collaborative management style. The ideal candidate will have a background in logistics, procurement, or Supply Chain, along with the relevant educational qualifications. While experience in the defence aviation sector is highly desirable, it is not essential. What is essential is your eagerness to learn and your dedication to contributing to the program’s success. The ability to work as either part of a group or independently to realise longer-term strategies is crucial.

Your expertise should include a thorough understanding of Supply Chain management principles and program management as they apply to the Supply Chain, along with excellent negotiation skills. Skills in subcontract drafting, review experience, and an in-depth understanding of subcontract law are crucial. Your ability to effectively coordinate and manage outcomes in dynamic operational settings and exceptional communication skills, adaptable for various audiences, are vital for this role.

What we Offer:
Whatever your role, life stage or background, you can shape your career here in your way with highly challenging work, great colleagues and career development, plus a range of flexible benefits and working patterns.
