Our client is a reputable third-party logistics warehouse located in Truganina, Victoria, is seeking an experienced hands on Afternoon Shift Manager to join their dynamic team. Our warehouse partners with well-known brands, who pride themselves on delivering exceptional service to their clients.
As the Afternoon Shift Manager, you will be leading your team from the front, and you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse during the Afternoon Shift. Your responsibilities will include overseeing a team of agency casuals and full-time staff, driving performance metrics, and maintaining a positive work culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Operations: Utilise your excellent warehouse operations experience to manage day-to-day activities efficiently. This includes continuous improvement initiatives, process enhancements, and maintaining high standards of quality.
- Results-Driven: Set and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, accuracy, and safety. Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Customer Focus: Understanding the customers and their requirements and ensure timely order fulfilment.
- Leadership and People Management: Lead by example, motivate your team, and foster a positive work environment. Handle staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
- Culture and Initiatives: Contribute to building a strong organisational culture by promoting teamwork, innovation, and employee engagement. Champion new initiatives that enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction.
- Occupational Health & Safety - Safety first mindset is a must coupled with driving a solid safety culture on site to mitigate risk of incident & injury.
Experience:
- Warehouse Expertise: Proven experience in warehouse operations, including continuous improvement methodologies. Ideally having worked in a 3PL or large Distibution centre previously in a DC floor management role
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.
- Results-Oriented: Track record of achieving KPIs and driving performance improvements.
- Customer-Centric: Understand the importance of meeting client expectations.
- Initiative and Adaptability: Willingness to take ownership of challenges and adapt to changing priorities.
- Understanding of Workplace Culture: Experience in fostering a positive work environment.
