Position
As the Warehouse Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the site Warehouse Supervisor in the day-to-day management of the warehouse. In addition to warehouse administration duties, the position involves driving the forklift to manage stock in the warehouse, truck loading/unloading, and container loading. The role will be second in command to the Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for all delegated tasks during his/her absence.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Support management of warehouse inventory, ensure all incoming materials are checked and received correctly.
- Support staging of materials for production and ensure all incoming and outgoing documentation are checked and in proper order.
- Support dispatch activities including truck loading, container loading and outgoing documentation.
- Support cycle counts and regular stock take. Report material and equipment damages.
- Support safety and racking inspections. Report all safety incidents and hazards. Escalate issues as required.
- Assist with complaints to suppliers (NCR), capturing the issue/photos as stock is received. Assist with warehouse RCAs.
Requirements
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to work unsupervised and also in a small team, ability to combine warehousing and administration duties.

- Support a safety-first culture in the warehouse and always demonstrate a commitment to the safety of yourself and others.
- Maintain your understanding of, and always comply with, company policies, standards and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 2yrs’ experience within a similar role.
- Experience in a warehouse within a manufacturing environment advantageous.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel at an intermediate level.
- WMS experience as well knowledge of SAP/ERP is an advantage.
- Experience or knowledge of a food handling facility and HACCP requirements advantageous.
- Forklift licence essential. Counterbalance and high reach desired.
