Warehouse Packing Team Leader - Stilla

This role requires learning the packaging process in a detailed way and then being able to train new team members and build a Packing Team that you would become the supervisor of. This role involves physically packaging up garden sheds from the production line in preparation for dispatch. As a Warehouse Packing Team Leader, you will be on your feet for the majority of the day, working in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:

• Learn the current packing systems and processes and then train and lead a Packing Team
• Packaging garden sheds accurately according to customer orders and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Utilizing hand tools effectively and safely during the packaging process.
• Maintaining a keen eye for quality to identify defects and alert the team for rectification.
• Demonstrating excellent attention to detail to ensure orders are packed accurately and efficiently.
• Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
• Developing coordination skills necessary for efficient packing processes.
• Exhibiting a willingness to learn and grow into a leadership role within the warehouse team.
• Assist the production manager with improving quality and efficiencies on the manufacturing floor while remaining primarily responsible for packing and output

Requirements

• Quick learner to understand the current systems and processes and then train new team members and have leadership skills
• Previous experience in a timber warehouse or manufacturing environment with lean experience.
• Forklift Licence
• Ability to work efficiently on your feet for extended periods and to work with heavy items
• Great attitude and hard work ethic
• Excellent coordination skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using hand tools is essential.
• A keen eye for quality and the ability to identify and communicate quality concerns effectively.
