We are currently seeking a skilled Warehouse Purchasing Officer to join our team in Brisbane.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Warehouse Purchasing Officer will play a crucial role in supporting key stakeholders in the management of end-to-end procurement processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for processing purchase requisitions, managing inventory levels, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with company policies and project objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Process purchase requisitions in accordance with purchasing procedures and Procurement Policy.
- Create and manage purchase orders and warehouse orders.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock to meet production and customer demand.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records and identify discrepancies.
- Provide support to the procurement manager and procurement function across the business.
- Review and confirm price and lead times with suppliers, aligning with company and project objectives.
- Organise deliveries and answer queries on delivery of goods, equipment, materials, and services.
- Conduct sourcing, analysis, purchasing, and inventory control duties in line with project requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance warehouse operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse/purchasing/procurement role.
- You will have experience in the mining and or engineering field.
- Ability to prioritise, plan, and organise work to meet deadlines, both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Adequate SAP skills are required with Purchasing and Warehousing exposure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
