Warehouse Storeman
Part-time and full-time positions available!
$26 to $28 gross plus super per hour.
Job Description
The primary role of a Warehouse Storeman is to efficiently pack, store, unpack, arrange and rotate food products in freezers and cool room, and ensure documentation, labelling and presentation is accurately executed in preparation for deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Retrieves orders from ordering officer;
- Locates products in freezers (frozen products) and cool room (fresh products), lifts and checks product description, quantities, delivery dates and locations against orders;
- Checks that printed labels on cartons match the product name on delivery documents;
- Checks product temperature with thermometer and notifies supervisor if temperatures are incorrect;
- Assists drivers with loading products into trucks;
- Assists drivers with unloading products from trucks inbound;
- Participates in stocktakes as required;
- Rotates product according to use-by dates with most recent moved to rear and older product to the front;
- Gathers and organises pallets;
- Maintains pallets in good condition;
- Cleans and tidies freezers, cool room and loading areas;
- Completes end of day checks, including lights off, doors closed and freezers and cool rooms at normal temperatures.

The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant should have proven working experience as a Warehouse Storeman. Other requirements are computer/scanner aptitude, good organizational and time management skills, enthusiasm, team player and high attention to details. Experience within the food service industry is essential, and a knowledge of HACCP including fresh food/short shelf life experience, and meat and seafood products will also be highly regarded. Good communication skills (both oral and written) in English and Chinese will also be highly regarded.
