The Role:
Located in the City of Sydney depot in Rosebery, the Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for the general organisation and condition of the warehouse, operating it in accordance with documented processes to ensure that stock is received, checked, stored and handled safely and securely, accurate stock records are maintained at all times and the management of all procurement and incoming logistical requirements for the City of Sydney contract for both installation and maintenance stock. This includes overseeing and using the Financial Force inventory management system to record all stock transactions and valuations, on time product procurement, the raising and management of purchase orders, providing stock management reporting, managing the approved supplier.
What you will be able to do:
- Full responsibility for the operation of the Financial Force inventory management system
- Implement, monitor and amend as required minimum stock levels without allowing stock to run out and affect operations
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers or vendors to meet the needs for goods and services
- Effectively negotiate with the potential suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricing
- Ensure warehouse are safe to work in at all times and comply with all QMS WHSE requirements
- The clear identification and labelling of inventory
- Effective and efficient stock inwards - unloading delivery vehicles and completion of necessary documentation
- Ensure warranty processes are in place and operating in order to obtain replacement parts and/or credits for materials failing under warranty
- Manage quarantine area and maintain records of materials included within it
- Manage waste management contract and ensure accurate waste management reporting
- Efficient stock outwards in accordance with the needs of the Repairs and Maintenance Teams and designated approvals
- General organisation and cleanliness of the warehouse and poster room including the logical, safe and secure storage of stock held.
What are we looking for?
Ideally you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- A forklift license is essential for this role
- The full understanding of inventory management fundamentals for a small/medium sized business
- Strong administration and organizational skills
- Computer literacy and a good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, as well as Financial
- Force and an ability and willingness to learn new software and programs
- Strong ability to write and update processes, workflows, procedures and other such documentation
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines without compromising close attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to work as a member of a team as well as autonomously without close supervision
- A focus on quality and continuous improvement
- Ability to work in office and warehouse environment.
- A high standard of personal presentation;
- Self-motivated to constantly look to improve one's own performance;
