Team Leader
We are looking for a passionate and driven individual to join us as a Team Leader at our state-of-the-art National Distribution Centre in Epping Victoria, with proven experience in a picking & packing outbound warehouse operations.
Reporting to our Supervisors and leading a team of motivated warehouse staff, our Team Leaders are responsible for the following:
- Maintaining and promoting a safe, organised and tidy environment
- Managing operational excellence in both e-commerce and traditional warehousing
- Guaranteeing process adherence and working to high standards
- Leading, training and developing a culture focused on skilled staff members
- Ensuring team and individuals consistently meet required productivity levels through oversight
- Acting as a role model and setting the standard for how staff achieve their tasks.
Key responsibilities:
- Daily Resource Planning - monitoring performance across operational areas and addressing bottlenecks
- Production Planning - planning picking (waving) to the Roster for Store Replenishment and On-line orders
- Communication - communicating daily objectives and operational and safety focus areas items to team via daily huddle (tool box) and provide=ng feedback on KPI performance to team members
- Replenishment - replenishing stock locations prior to picking to remove replenishment during picking and ensure best possible picking rate
- Picking - assembling and replenishing cartons and satchels for pick to carton
- Picking Discrepancies - checking locations and escalating discrepancies, working to identify root route causes for Items not being in the correct location
- Pack - packing on-line orders to minimise damage with special attention to fragile items while minimising excessive use of packing
- Despatch - liaising with carrier for appropriate vehicles to collect orders ad ensuring consolidation and loading of online and store deliveries
- Team Development - supporting Supervisors in the induction, training, safety and development of the team
- Continuous Improvement - supporting Continuous Improvement (CI) projects within all operational areas

Position Requirements:
- Relevant experience in leading Warehouse Teams servicing online customers and traditional retail
- Strong WMS systems knowledge
- A forklift licence is desirable
- Solid computer/system skills
- Ability to ensure productivity targets are met
