What you will be working on?
The Waste & Water Coordinator is responsible for Quoting and weekly Invoicing, Scheduling and coordinating the safe and efficient collection, transportation, and disposal of controlled waste, delivery of potable water, and delivery, servicing and removal of skip bins and IBCs for the business’ Waste & Water department.
Reporting to the Waste & Water Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the daily supervision and scheduling of assets and workers on site to ensure quality standards are achieved safely. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ability to quote, plan and schedule works to meet agreed delivery requirements, standards, and timeframes.
- Supervise and oversee crews of 10+ drivers
- Fleet management of waste collection vehicles which includes ensuring vehicles are being utilised appropriately and safely for collections to meet contract commitments and deadlines.
- Carry out weekly audit and preparation of jobs for invoicing
- Checking and verifying worker hours for payroll
- Working closely with the Supervisor and Waste Manager to ensure operations are running smoothly
- Ensure high levels of regulatory compliance standards in waste operations
- Managing and updating Vaccination and Controlled Waste registers
- First point of contact for clients, drivers, and contractors
- Coordinating new starter site inductions
- Working closely with our Recruitment and Mobilisation team to ensure site compliance and inductions are met
- Monthly auditing of Controlled Waste tracking form
- Following up on leads and attending site for scope of work
What type of Person will be successful?
- Demonstrated experience in a similar Coordinator / Scheduler position
- Knowledge of Waste Management and/or Transportation is a strong advantage
- Strong understanding of Safety and Fatigue management desired
- Experience with Simpro is an advantage
- Excellent time management and planning skills demonstrated by managing your own time, organising workloads, and setting priorities
- Analytical skills – ability to process a variety of information, evaluate costs and benefits and solve complex problems
- Possesses a high level of written and verbal communication skills, accuracy of information, and attention to detail
