The Position
In this pivotal role, you will be a key contributor, providing essential technical expertise for projects and operations, with a specialized focus on surface water and water systems infrastructure. Anchored in Adelaide, with potential opportunities spanning across Australia, this role offers a platform for professional development within various facets of the resource sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical support for project execution, operations, and mine planning in the domain of surface water and water systems infrastructure.
- Elevate awareness of flood risk and surface water management, coordinating wet season preparedness activities among stakeholders.
- Conduct precise technical analyses supporting new mining studies, encompassing hydrology and hydraulic modeling.
- Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met at diverse developmental stages.
- Prepare materials for stakeholder consultation, actively participating in on-site investigations and monitoring programs.
- Foster collaborative relationships and actively contribute to knowledge-building initiatives within the team.
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
- Accumulate a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency in flood modeling software and GIS tools.
- Showcase strong report writing skills and a command of Microsoft Office.
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of catchment hydrology, river hydraulics, and flood modeling.
- Possess a valid Australian Driver's License.
- Display familiarity with surface water management approvals in Adelaide.
- Demonstrate experience in executing surface water monitoring programs and conducting field investigations.
- Showcase knowledge of water infrastructure systems, pipes, and pump design, providing a distinct advantage.
