Housing Plus is a leading community services and housing provider with a 40 year history, delivering a range of affordable accommodation, domestic violence and homelessness services in regional NSW. We are a recognised leader within the domestic and family violence (DFV) sector in NSW. We currently run the Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Services (WDVCAS) in Central West, Western, Far West and Central North NSW, as well as the Staying Home Leaving Violence Service and Operation Courage.
We are also leading innovative design and service delivery in the provision of emergency accommodation for victims of domestic abuse. We operate a purpose-built crisis accommodation facility in Orange, and are in the process of building similar facilities in other locations.
We are currently seeking a full time Assistant Managerto support our WDVCAS Manager and Team in the Central West region, based in Orange.
This role will support the Manager with the day-to-day operations of the service, with a focus on reporting, compliance, and providing support to our team when needed.
To be successful, you will require:
- Strong skills and experience within the community services industry, ideally within Domestic and Family Violence Services.
- Knowledge of the dynamics, complexities and legal and social welfare consequences of domestic and family violence.
- Well-developed leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, guide and support our team.
- Experience in program management, reporting and other administrative management tasks
- High level of communication, conflict resolution and advocacy abilities.
Tertiary qualifications in social science/social work/psychology or management will be highly regarded. This may suit an experienced Community Services worker looking for a step into a management role.
You will also need a current Driver’s Licence and ability to obtain a Police Check and Working with Children Check.

The Case Worker is classified as a Level 6.1 under the SCHADS Award, which equates to $102,831 gross per annum. This will increase on an annual basis in line with the pay points in the Award.
