About the role
This is a permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm position working 35 hours per week. This position is located at the Nowra Administration Building.

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.

Duties
Reporting directly to the Coordinator – Marketing & Community Engagement, the focus of this position is to:

  • Deliver and manage the content and design of Council’s websites to ensure excellent customer experience
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and create innovative solutions that align customer expectations with product capability
  • Use data and insights to develop and recommend strategic improvements to the customer journey
  • Provide advice on web and digital systems

Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will possess:

  • Tertiary (Degree Level) qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • Proven skills in digital user interface and user experience design
  • Experience in content design and plain English writing for websites
  • Strong understanding of campaigns, analytics and accessibility
  • Demonstrated ability to discuss problems, analyse and formulate solutions equally with a wide range of customers including managers, non-technical users, IT professionals and system developers
  • Demonstrated project management skills in planning, managing time and competing priorities to achieve agreed objectives on time
  • Experience in digital marketing including SEO, social media, online campaigns
  • Knowledge of usability and accessibility requirements including WCAG methodologies
  • Demonstrated skills with common website CMSs, SCSS/CSS, HTML and JavaScript languages, styling frameworks, design systems, and script libraries
  • Current Class C Driver’s License
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
